Frequently Asked Questions
The new badminton and table tennis leagues in Tampere run on a monthly basis with flexible scheduling. You play against opponents at your own skill level, at times that work for you: in most leagues around four matches a month. Each month, players can advance to higher divisions based on their performance.
FlexiLiiga is a new league for badminton and table tennis, offering a ranking system, match scheduling, chat with other players, and much more — currently completely free of charge. Players are responsible for finding a court or table to play on and paying any applicable fees directly to the chosen sports facility, as well as bringing their own equipment. In the future, we hope to offer discounted court reservations at selected facilities.
You choose the location. Play at any sports facility with a badminton court or a table tennis table — for example a sports center, club, or school. You and your opponent agree on a place and time that works for both of you.
If you can't play all your matches in a round, at least one opponent in your group misses out too. Try to play all your matches so your opponents get their games as well. If a match doesn't happen, it counts as a win for your opponent — unless neither player made a reasonable effort to schedule it. See the Rules page for more details. If you know you'll be away for more than 2 weeks in a month, it's a good idea to pause your participation. You can do this from the league page or by emailing us at [email protected].
After a match is played, the winner is responsible for entering the score into the app, but either player can do so. The other player then confirms the result. If there's a dispute, see the Rules page for how it's resolved.
